Privately owned company

In 1967, Jean-Claude LINEL founded his own temperature sensor company based on thermocouple and RTD technologies.
Passionate about technology and industry, he devoted his professional life to growing this family business until his sons took over in the late 1990s to continue its development.

Today a new generation of managers has taken over the company which forms with its sister company Thermo Electric the COTEMP Sensing group, present in France, the United Kingdom, the USA and India.

Key milestons

More than 80 years of experience in industrial temperature sensors

Fred WALTER founded the company Thermo Electric (USA) which took off in the post-war period. TE specializes in temperature sensors

1941

Jean-Claude LINEL founded the company LCP “Le Contrôle Pyrometric”. LCP quickly established itself as a major player in temperature sensors

1967

LCP becomes Correge and establishes itself as the French leader in temperature sensors

1990

Correge acquired KAYME in 1999, a specialist de capteurs de température et d’instrumentation fine basé à Guyancourt (France)

1999

Correge acquires Thermo Electric, former American leader in temperature sensors

2004

Berger joined CORREGE in 2009. He is a specialist in temperature sensors in the petrochemical industry (sensors for ATEX explosive atmospheres)

2009

Opening of a factory in India under the brand Thermo Electric INDIA

2010

Acquisition of a company specializing in on-site calibration and furnaces temperature mapping

2012

All of the group’s companies are brought together under the COTEMP SENSING brand.

2022

In the heart of Normandy

Located between Rouen and Paris, CORREGE is a major industrial player in the Eure department (27).

Attached to its roots in Normandy, CORREGE is involved in economic and social life in Normandy.
